Description
The Powerex OTD Duplex Reciprocating Piston Open Tank Mounted Compressor is manufactured of heat rejecting composite resin with PTFE rings, and does not use aluminum pistons. The design also includes stainless steel valves with PTFE-coated aluminum die-cast valve plates, precision bore die-cast anodized aluminum cylinders, anodized inter-stage intercooler(s), ductile iron crankshaft with counterweight and oversized sealed ball bearings, and single piece connecting rods with sealed needle bearings. The compressor also includes a “Dual Cooling System,” which includes a radial flow fan and flywheel fan, each driven by the pump crankshaft.
The compressors are driven by 1750 RPM, ODP NEMA construction motors. OSHA-approved belt guards are also provided. The ASME rated air receiver is rated for 200 PSI MAWP. The tank is equipped with a pressure gauge, safety relief valve, discharge shut-off valve, and manual tank drain.
A duplex system’s listed horsepower combines the power of each individual motor. A 10 HP system therefore consists of two 5 HP motors.
