Description
The Mattei RVD Series rotary vane air compressor is a volumetric air compressor that is engineered to be one of the most energy efficient, single-stage, fixed or variable speed air compressor on the market. The RVD Series eliminates problematic belt and sheave drive transmissions by implementing a simple jaw-coupling that connects a high efficiency TEFC motor to the compressor, minimizing maintenance and increasing the lifespan of the system. The RVD Series also features an oversized cooler that is rated for 115°F ambient conditions. A magnet motor driven variable speed electric fan regulates the cooling air flow depending on the machine oil temperature.
When air demand has been met, the suction and non-return valve release the internal pressure and allows the compressor to run with no load. This minimizes the energy consumption of the system without the need to stop the compressor. The number of stops and start-ups is therefore reduced to extend the service life of the compressor and motor.
