Description
The Hedland EZ-View Liquid Flow Meter is a variable area flow meter made of high-impact polysulfone plastic. It offers a low-cost alternative for your flow monitoring needs. Hedland polysulfone variable area flow meters can be used in applications in which the temperature ranges from 32°F to 250°F (0°C to 121°C). These Hedland flow meters are pressure rated for 325 PSI.
The Hedland EZ-View features a precision-molded, sharp-edged orifice that creates an annular opening with the metering cone. When fluid flows through the meter, it creates a pressure differential across the orifice, causing the piston to move against the spring in direct proportion to the flow rate. The calibrated spring opposes flow in the forward direction, and it decreases sensitivity to viscosity, allowing the flow meters to be used in any position, including inverted. The flow rate is indicated by observing the red indicator line on the piston in relation to the pre-calibrated numerical scale, which is mounted on the outer surface of the transparent body.
