Description
The Van Air Systems PDV-500 Series Zero Loss Pneumatic Air Drain is suited for remote or portable applications and is safe to operate in hazardous area. The PDV-500 activates on demand, only when condensate is present and releases compressed air. A stainless steel float rises and moves a magnet over a pilot valve housing. When the float reaches a preset level, the pilot valve releases control air to open the ball valve allowing the captured liquid to drain. The liquid in the vessel drops, but does not fall far enough to lose any compressed air. Specifically, this model is manufactured with a stainless steel valve orifice.
The PDV-500 is ideal for draining air receivers, moisture separators, drop legs, coalescing filters, or deliquescent/refrigerated dryers.
